Project updates
You’re invited to attend a public meeting to learn more about the upcoming pipe replacement project in the Belmont and Optimist Park neighborhoods.

Come talk to Charlotte Water staff on March 1 at 420 E. 15th Street Mission Gathering Charlotte Church parking lot. Drop by between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

Charlotte Water selected a Design-Build team led by Sanders Utility Construction Company, Inc. and WSP to plan, design, and construct the Replacement Sewer. You will see Sanders / WSP personnel and their team in the area performing surveys, borings, and data collection needed for this critical project. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2018 and continue through the summer of 2019.

Project overview
This project will alleviate wastewater capacity needs identified through Charlotte Water’s Capacity Assurance Program.

The current pipe is 8-inch to 15-inch in diameter and replacement pipe may be 12-inch to 30-inch- in diameter.

This project is anticipated to be activated by the mid-2019. Utilizing a Progressive Design-Build project delivery method will allow Charlotte Water to work collaboratively with the Design-Build team.
